Country and tax questions
Which countries does GetJewelryPOS sell in?
The United States, the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan, each with its own prices, payment options and support hours. The software itself works in any currency.
Can one business have shops in two countries?
Each business uses one currency. A jeweler with shops in Dubai and Karachi would usually run two businesses under one login, each with its own currency and tax set-up.
Does it handle UAE VAT?
Yes. Set the 5% VAT rate, show prices VAT-inclusive, and print tax invoices with your Tax Registration Number. Your accountant files the return.
Does it handle US sales tax?
Yes. Add your state and local rates as a tax group and apply them per shop. Rates are entered by you; the software doesn’t look them up.
Does it handle Pakistan sales tax?
Yes, as configurable tax rates on items or invoices. Integration with FBR’s point-of-sale invoice reporting is not included; ask on a demo if your store needs it.
Can receipts be bilingual?
Invoice layouts can include both English and Arabic or Urdu text, which UAE and Pakistan customers often expect.
Is GetJewelryPOS certified for fiscal printers or e-invoicing?
No certification is claimed, except that a ZATCA (Saudi) e-invoicing add-on module exists. Check your local rules with your accountant.
What time zone are reports in?
Your business time zone, so a Dubai day closes on Gulf time and a Lahore day on Pakistan time.
