Which features are included in every GetJewelryPOS plan?
All ten jewelry features are in every plan: serial numbers and certificates, repairs, layaway and instalments, gold pricing by weight, high-value stock controls, old gold exchange, custom orders, customers and occasions, tags and labels, and multi-store tools where you have more than one shop. Plans differ by shops, registers and staff logins, not by jewelry features.
Is GetJewelryPOS a general retail POS with a jewelry skin?
It is a full retail POS set up for jewelers: the product records carry metal, karat, weights, stone details and certificate numbers, repairs have their own job sheets, and prices can be built from weight and today’s rate. You still get the general retail tools — purchases, suppliers, returns, reports — underneath.
Can I price some items by weight and others at a fixed price?
Yes. Gold items can be priced from weight, karat, your daily rate and making charge, while diamonds, watches or fashion jewelry keep a fixed tag price. Both sell on the same receipt.
Does it work for watch repairs as well as jewelry?
Yes. The repair module tracks any item brought in for work, with its serial number, condition at intake, status and due date. Watch services and battery changes use the same job sheets as ring sizing or chain repairs.
Can I control what each staff member can do?
Yes. Roles decide who can give discounts, void sales, see cost prices, edit products or close the register, and which shop each person can work in. A senior salesperson and a new trainee can have very different screens.
Do I need special hardware?
No special hardware is required; it runs in a browser on a computer, tablet or phone. Most stores add a barcode scanner, a receipt printer and a narrow-label printer for jewelry tags. The hardware guide lists what works.
