How much does it cost to switch to GetJewelryPOS?
Nothing extra. Help mapping and importing your spreadsheet is free with any plan, and there is no POS setup fee.
Which systems can I switch from?
Any system that can export a spreadsheet: other jewelry POS systems, general retail POS, accounting software or a stock list kept in Excel. If your system cannot export, a typed list works too.
Will my certificate numbers come across?
Yes, if they are in your export. Each certificate’s lab and report number land in their own fields on the product, ready to print on invoices.
What about pieces on layaway at the moment?
Enter each running layaway with the deposit and payments already made. The piece is reserved and the balance carries on in GetJewelryPOS.
Can I run both systems for a while?
Yes, but keep it short. Most stores test-import, check, and switch on one morning to avoid stock counts drifting between two systems.
Do I lose my sales history?
Old sales stay in your previous system’s reports; we suggest exporting them to keep on file. Your new history starts on switch-over day.
Can you import gold items so their price follows my rate?
Yes. Pieces with weight and karat are priced from the rate you enter, plus their making charge. Fixed-price items keep their tag price.
How long does a switch take?
For a single shop with a clean export, two to four days from sending files to the first sale. Messy data takes longer to clean, not to import.
