Cookie Policy

In short

This site stores a few small settings in your browser, such as your consent choice, theme and country. One item remembers campaign tags for 90 days and is sent only when you submit a form. Cloudflare sets short-lived security cookies on forms. No analytics or advertising tags are installed today.

What this policy covers

This policy lists every cookie and browser-storage item used on getjewelrypos.com, what each one does and how long it stays. It covers the public website only. The GetJewelryPOS app, where stores sign in to sell, uses its own session cookies to keep you logged in; those are needed to run the service and are explained when you sign up.

We use the word “cookie” loosely here. Most items on this site are not cookies at all. They live in your browser’s local storage, which works like a small notebook on your own device. Nothing in local storage is sent to us automatically. The one exception is described below: the attribution record is read and sent only when you press submit on a form.

Is anything tracking me right now?

No. No analytics or advertising tags are installed on this website today. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel and no ad network script. The consent banner offers “Analytics” and “Marketing” categories so that we can ask you properly if we ever add one. Both categories stay off until you turn them on.

If we add a tag in the future, it will load only after you opt in to its category, and we will update this page and the Privacy Policy first.

A note on the preference items

The seven gjp- preference items hold one short value each, such as “dark” or “AE”. They contain no name, email or phone number. They never leave your browser. If you clear them, the site simply goes back to its defaults.

A note on sf-attr-v1

This record is first-party: it is written by our own site and read only by our own site. It is not shared with any ad platform, and it does nothing on its own. If you never submit a form, it is never sent anywhere and it expires after 90 days. If you do submit, the tags travel with your enquiry into our CRM, as described in the Privacy Policy.

A note on Cloudflare

Cloudflare hosts this website and runs the Turnstile check on our forms. Its cookies help it tell people from bots and block attacks. We cannot turn these off, because the forms would fill with spam without them. They expire within 30 minutes.

  • Necessary. Needed for the site to work safely, such as remembering your consent choice and the Cloudflare security check. Always on.
  • Preferences. Remember choices you made on the site, such as theme, country and accessibility settings. They only store what you chose.
  • Analytics. Would measure how visitors use the site. Nothing is installed in this category today. Off until you opt in.
  • Marketing. Would cover advertising or remarketing tags. Nothing is installed in this category today. Off until you opt in.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out, and the Marketing category stays off.

How to change your choice

You can change your mind at any time:

  1. Scroll to the footer of any page and select Cookie settings.
  2. Turn categories on or off, then save.

Your new choice applies straight away and replaces the old one stored in gjp-consent.

You can also clear everything from your browser:

  • Chrome, Edge: Settings → Privacy → Cookies and site data → see all site data → search “getjewelrypos.com” → delete.
  • Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data → search the site → remove.
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data → remove the site.

Clearing site data resets your theme, country and accessibility settings, and the consent banner will appear again on your next visit.

Changes to this policy

When we add, remove or change any item on this list, we will update the table and the date at the top of this page before the change goes live.
